David Hockney is an English painter, draughtsman, printmaker, stage designer, and photographer. He is considered an important contributor to the pop art movement in the 1960's. The way that I created my photos is that I had multiple photos of one subject that I had taken and I merged the photos so it looks like one picture with multiple photos.

I picked Complex Magazine because it's about everything that's going on in the hip-hop and rap industry. I like this because I like to know everything that's going on with rappers today. The way that I picked this style for the magazine, was that I looked at all the covers about rappers and saw that the cover is about them and what's going on in their life, their train of thought, when their new album is coming out, and who their working with. the font that I used was "Haettenschweiler" and I used a white font for the text. The way that I made this was that I got a studio light and a grey backdrop and took the photo of me looking down. A strobe light is a device used to produce regular flashes of light. A modeling light is a continuous light source, you would use it visually see the lighting. A soft box is a light modifier, you would use it to modify the light for the model. A reflector is a reflector that bounces the light in a specific area you want, you use it when the lighting doesn't look correct. A grey card is a gray reference, you would use it for exposure reference. A radio trigger system is a transmitter to tell the flash to go off at the same time that the picture is taken.
The name of this image is “In My Mind” I took this picture at my high school’s track field, there are parts of the track where there are a bunch of tree’s and bushes. The compositional rule that I used for this image is framing, the way that the hands are placed in the frame and how the double exposure goes along with it is outstanding. The camera that I used to take the picture was a Nikon D3500, I do not know what the lens was used because it is a school issued camera. The software that I used to have the double exposure effect was Adobe Photoshop CC 2015, I used this to merge the hands and the image together and used a brush tool to erase any unwanted image left over that weren’t on the hand.
My image is in Digital Photo Composite Image because my photo is a composite photo, I have 3 images (the hands, and the two people in the “woods”, and the “woods” itself) on the original photo of the two people I took two pictures one with them in the image and one with out because I wanted to fade out the girl so she looked like a ghost that is there in his presence. With that part done, I merged the 2 images into one photo, I then brought the two hands image into photo shop and then merged the two photos and lowered the opacity so I can place the two people in separate palms. Once that the image was where I wanted it I used the option of double exposure and then used the brush tool to shape the image into the hands, the double exposure helped with detail of the hands and I used a little contrast to make the hands look worn out (aged). I had a song lyric that inspired me to do this picture, the song is "3005" by Childish Gambino, and the lyric is "No matter what you say or what you do, whenever I'm alone I'd rather be with you.". The way that I created this image is I took a picture of the background, had my models go in facing each other, I then used the brush tool to fade out Kim and give her a ghost look. I then got a hand picture off the internet and dragged that into photoshop, I then changed the opacity so the image would look like its in the palm of the hands.
The word mandala means to me is circular reflection of a picture. The way that I created these images is I dragged the mandala template to my photoshop website, I then picked the photo that I wanted to create. I then copied a certain area that I liked and pasted it on the template, I then duplicated the layer and merged the remaining layers. The thing that I liked most about this project was the crazy ways the image came out and looked after I worked on it. My favorite image that I worked on is the second image, the way that the yellow comes to form a squares gives the illusion that there square is going on forever. The thing that I struggled with at first was the copying a certain area of an image and pasting it on the template for this project.
